Haul | Cult Beauty

You may have seen my previous post on my Cult Beauty Wishlist in July, and suffice to say I have never, ever, been very good at self control when it comes to trying not to shop.

I decided to do a bit of a haul and get the items that had been lurking in my basket on Cult Beauty, especially after seeing the lovely Victoria/In The Frow's post about her new buys & a code to get a free goodie bag (see that post here) I just couldn't resist.

The gift bag was absolutely lush, it contained so many amazing products and was a real luxury gift.

My favourite pieces have to be the Neom Happiness Candle and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Primer. The Neom candle smells so lovely, and even unlit makes my whole bedroom perfumed! And the ABH Brow Primer pencil is such a great addition to my eyebrow kit.
I honestly can't believe the range of high-end products that were included in this lovely gift bag!

So onto what I bought. I'm going to go through briefly and give my first impressions, but I'm sure I'll do some more in depth posts on some of them soon!

I got ittttttt. The holy grail of brow products (or so I've heard) the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade! I ordered mine in shade Dark Brown, because although my brows are very dark almost black naturally, I find black brow products can sometimes look a bit much on me. The Dipbrow Pomade seems to have a mousse-like texture from the first couple of times I've used it, and goes on very smoothly. This will no doubt be mentioned again as I can tell it's going to become a makeup staple piece for me!

I also picked up the Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist as I'd had it in my basket for a while, then started to see a few post's about it, so thought why not give it a go. The Jury is still out on this product for me. I've only tried it a couple of times so far so really need to give it a proper try before I can say whether or not I think it's worth buying.
Watch this space...

Another product that I was so happy to get from my Cult Beauty Wishlist I wrote in July was the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm. This smells absolutely incredible. It's strange, and I know it's probably the honey in it, but I swear it smells of Terry's Chocolate Orange... Just me? Ok. It's such a thick, creamy texture yet soaks in completely once applied. I'm actually falling in love with a lip balm.

Now for the lip sticks. I picked up not only Whisper but also Flesh shades in the Nudestix Lip and Cheek Pencil range. I'm still playing around with these, but the formula seems so smooth and very pigmented for the application. Definitely glad I bought them.
My final purchase was the Stila Stay all Day Liquid Lips in shade Dolce, a warm nude colour. I do really like how this lasts on my lips, but I think I'm the only person not sold on the sickly sweet smell this product has. I'm prepared to give it a proper go, but it honestly smells like I've smothered my lips in brown sugar. Updates sure to follow.

Have you tried any of these products already & do you love/hate them? What's currently hanging about in your shopping baskets?

Let me know your thoughts xx

P.S Sorry about the week long absence between posts, really going to try to update content more often!

    1. The Nuxe lip balm is amazing isn't it! Now I've tried it, I don't see how many other lip balms will compare. I'll be doing a more in-depth post on the Pixi glow tonic soon x
