You're Clingy

Morning guys & gals

I've been working hard recently to get into shape and I bought this ASOS skirt as a sort of 'motivational piece' to keep me on schedule. Why this skirt? Because it's the sort of material that clings and sticks to curves, perfect for relaxing with cocktails but really motivational to, um, get those curves for it to cling to.

Keeping it super feminine with this Ann Summers bralet (similar here) and these stunning Quay Australia 'Muse' sunglasses that have barely left my tiny pea head since I bought them.

Do you have any 'motivational' pieces in your wardrobe? What do you think of this look?
Let me know gals xx

A Lindt Christmas

Ok, so there's no fashion here, and no makeup either (unless you count my fave Ardell lashes) but when I got asked if I would like to go chocolate tasting at the Lindt Outlet Store at McArthurglen in Bridgend, it was super hard not to make an exception as you can imagine!

McArthurglen is a Designer Outlet that you can find located in 22 places close to major cities around Europe such as Austria, France, Italy and of course the United Kingdom. The Lindt Outlet Store in the Bridgend centre was kind enough to invite me to go and have a look at the Christmas chocolates as well as try a few of their staple truffle pieces.

Christmas is such a magical time for most people, and chocolate is definitely one of the best gift ideas you can have. Lindt has a massive range of things that are perfect for loved ones if you're a bit stuck for a gift! The Christmas collection includes the adorable and recognisable Lindt Gold Reindeer, as well as the milk chocolate Santa figure - not only are they delicious but they're currently two figures for £5 at the Bridgend Outlet.

The winner for me though is the Lindt Teddy, it features the same cute collar as the Reindeer, except this one can be personalised! Cute and shiny, it's not surprising it's my favourite is it... If you'd like your Lindt Teddy's collar personalised you can head down to the Outlet every Saturday & Sunday in November to December 24th (except Black Friday weekend!) between 11am-3pm, and the Teddy itself is £5 or two for £8.

There's so many more amazing products, like the Adorable Teddy Advent Calendar, the Hamper boxes and 500g of the truffles for £11.80 (that's around 40 truffles by the way. Yup, 40 Champagne truffles if that's what you want). It's so hard not to find something for everyone on your Christmas list and maybe even a something for the office kitchen too!

I'd love to know if you guys have started your Christmas shopping yet, I'm literally the worst person for leaving it to the last minute! Have you been to the Outlet store yet?
Let me know xx

Olive Juice

Ankle boot season is finally back!
I went on a massive binge after having a stalk of some of my favourite bloggers recent looks, and ended up getting myself a pair of these nude lycra boots from Ego. They're so versatile and I have been pairing them with pretty much all of my skirts and dresses. My Autumn/Winter wardrobe is looking like it's going to have an extremely neutral palette this year! I've pretty much exclusively been buying nude shades ranging from pale pinky tones through to deeper brown shades, coupled with my love for monochrome black and white staple pieces.
This time, however, I've teamed them with this fab Olive shift dress* from JD Williams.
I have to admit it's not my usual haunt for clothes but I do love anything in khaki green, and a baggy tee style dress with heels keeps them casual and dressed down.
Also with Black Friday coming up on November the 25th, it's definitely the time to shop around and get yourself some great deals for transitional clothing as we roll slowly into winter - you can sign up for the JD Williams countdown alert here!

Winter Baby, Summer Soul

It's been so long I was half thinking to restart a fresh blog, but then why lose the work I'd already created with this one? It's been a long distance in returning back to this blog and I truly regret that.
(Also please don't tell me it's just me that reads the word truly in Joanne Prada's voice anytime I see it now?!)

I have to admit I've been itching to post on here for a long time but always made excuses about work/being busy/not being the right time.
Well I'm not letting myself make excuses anymore, because I really do love blogging and I adore the blogging I do. It's about creating something completely yours that you can play with creatively.
This blog is mine.
I don't want to neglect it anymore.

Take what you want from this post; it's vague, a few pictures and touching on personal but not really getting there.
What can I say, I'm an Aquarian it's pretty much textbook for me to be like this aha.
If you stay following, and I hope you will! There's so much to come, including the resurrection of the Gentlemen's Club in a completely new format, some brand collaborations and my usual talking-to-myself style of writing.

Thank you if you've stuck around and if you've just joined, thank you too!

The Highlighter Edit

I was never a highlighting kind of gal. I actually rolled my eyes at the 'strobing' trend of 2015.
I was dedicated to my Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel bronzer; the contour shades on my ABH palettes were running down quicker than anything else...
Fast forward a few months and I'm addicted to walking around looking like I've bloody bathed in shimmery gold pigment.

I know I'm not the only one to give in (so, so willingly give in) to highlighting and I honestly feel like my cheekbones are unfinished without a quick dusting of highlighter now.
And here we are, my current highlighter collection!

So my first dip into the sea of highlighting products out there was the Topshop Glow Pot. I've got mine in the Polished shade, which is best described as a white gold colour. I can only find links for the Gleam shade which is more of a rose gold, but same product!
What drew me to this is the cream texture, because my skin just has such a problem with powder products sometimes, and I really do prefer a more dewy complexion. A little bit of this goes such a long way and while it can be used anywhere on the face I really love using this one as an under-brow highlighter to really make my brows look defined and make sure everyone can see that arch I've worked for gurl *sassy hand girl emoji*
A great starter product but as it turned out I now prefer buildable powder products for my cheekbones...

And this brings me to the love of my life, the Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder in Bronze Glow. I'm not even going to debate that £34 is a lot to spend on one product BUT HAVE YOU SEEN IT? I didn't hesitate for more than 30 seconds before treating myself to it, especially once I'd swatched the tester on the counter.
It's an absolutely stunning powder product that is just so pigmented yet has quite small glitter particles in it, so you barely need to pick up any on the brush to get a really gorgeous glow. I have actually taken to using this one every day as a part of my makeup routine, and then layer it up heavier for a night out.
If you have me on snapchat this is the highlighter you'll see me doing ridiculous things with my head to get that glow showing in dem video stories... yeah sorrynotsorry.

Being the lucky girl I am, I actually received the next two products as birthday presents from my beautiful friends Jess and Kylie! Up first, we have the BareMinerals Pure Radiance Powder. Described as 'All Over Face Colour' but all I can recommend is that you don't use this all over your face... It's so dense in its pigment which is great because you can really do the whole strobing thing with it, but all over your face? I personally wouldn't!
It's a peachy shade rather than golden, which is really nice and will suit a lot of skin tones. I find my more golden highlighters are more for medium skintones like mine, whereas peach is a bit more universal. It seems to have a mixture of sizes of glitter particles which gives a multi-dimensional feel when on your cheek bones.

And saving my newest (and prettiest) addition until last... I introduce the Dior Nude Air Glowing Gardens in shade Glowing Nude. Swatching this prior to using it caused physical pain it's so beautiful. Before I start with the actual highlighter, the product itself is so luxurious. It comes in a beautiful chrome magnetic compact with a mirror, a small velvet pouch to keep it pristine and also a little Christian Dior embossed Kabuki brush for on-the-go applying.
This powder is so fine it applies almost cream-like, and has a really beautiful softening effect. It's a much more subdued golden tone than the Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder, but still more beige than peach and has a hint of iridescence. I actually love everything about this highlighter so much I'm going to treat myself to the other shade next time I'm near a Dior counter... so probably quite soon!

Swatches from Left to Right: Dior Nude Air Glowing Gardens in Glowing Nude, Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder in Bronze Glow, BareMinerals Pure Radiance Powder, Topshop Glow Pot in Polished.

What's your thoughts on highlighters? Will the strobing trend continue?
Are there any products you'd swear by? Let me know! xx
